Where do you get help to sell and administer niches?
Architarium can show you how to operate a columbarium with success. We offer many ready-to-use materials at Architarium-Columbarium.com to help manage a columbarium. This support website includes help with columbarium niche sales and record-keeping. This website is available to Architarium columbarium clients and members in the planning stage. And once you are done with construction, the website will help you with columbarium management.

Where can columbarium urns be purchased?
Columbarium Feature We sell cremation urns specially selected to fit into our standard 12x12x12 in. niche as a pair. We sell exclusively to memorial garden operators at wholesale prices. Please contact us for urn selection and pricing from one of your organization's email addresses or call us at 1-888-310-2038.
If families want to purchase their own urns, which frequently happens, contact us for maximum dimensions for both single and double inurnment. To operate a columbarium successfully, it is essential to satisfy families.

How is inurnment done?
We supply you with instructions and tools for removing and reattaching both the exterior and interior face plate. This is information that should be guarded for security purposes.
Placement of urns in niches can be done by whoever you authorize.
Each niche has its own cover so that only one niche is uncovered during inurnment.
We provide extra face plates for rotation while originals are sent out for engraving so that there are no uncovered niches. To operate a columbarium well, it must remain attractive and secure at all times.

How do you secure the niches?
We provide specialized tools needed to move the niche face plate and niche door from columbaria.
Each columbarium niche has two layers of security which you will access.
Our columbarium design has a built in niche seal. It does not require caulk.

How will your face plates get engraved?
Choice of Engraver: The face plates can be returned to us for engraving or sent to a local engraver. We include extra blank face plates to allow for off-site engraving to simplify columbarium management.
Sandblasting: This is our recommended form of engraving (over lasering) because of its depth and ability to hold a paint color.
Lightweight: The face plates are 0.375" thick and are easy to handle. They are also individual to a niche (as opposed to systems that use one face plate for multiple niches).
Guidance: We can give you guidance on creating a standardized template for formatting your face plates.

How much maintenance should you expect?
Our columbarium design requires minimal maintenance due to its materials and construction. For example, stainless steel and granite are both very stable materials.
If your memorial location is exterior, you can wash the granite face with a garden hose as needed to remove any debris.
If your memorial location is interior, the granite face can be dusted or washed by hand with soap and water.
Granite and marble weather well and require virtually no maintenance. Limestone may mildew over time, even with a sealant. Bronze will tarnish with time. We strongly recommend granite above all other face plate materials.
Architarium's columbarium uses 100% stainless steel to eliminate stains that can be a problem for other materials like concrete and cement board.
There is no caulk to apply or remove when accessing a niche because our niches use a built-in seal system.
